Introduction

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (better known as CPR) circulates blood even when the heart is paralyzed, delaying brain damage and helping the heart recover from paralysis. With this in mind, this course seeks to capacitate learners to be able to directly implement CPR and first aid, mainly by understanding the theories and the necessary practical skills.

Learning Goals

The course is an introduction to the basic social, legal, and political issues, of Human Rights in Southeast Asia. It examines the definition of Human Rights in major international treaties, and how they are promoted and protected.

Learning Process

This course takes a two-fold approach:

First, you will be required to complete watching a video clip every week before joining the weekly real-time interactive session. While you can access the videos anytime anywhere you want, you will be required to finish watching it before the interactive session.

Then, you will be required to take part in the weekly interactive session (2 hours/week), which is an in-depth extended class that requires connection and participation at a set time.

Evaluation Standard

To complete this course, you must acquire an achievement score of at least 80 by:

    1. Completing a ten-week long self-directed learning watching a set of video resources (with weekly deadlines)

    2. Participating in a ten-week long real-time interactive session (held via the videoconferencing platform Zoom)

    3. Completing an achievement evaluation test given at the final week (Week 10).

Please take note of your attendance, as your participation will not be certified if you miss more than two (2) real-time interactive sessions and two (2) deadlines of self-directed learning (video clips) respectively.
