Introduction

This is a course that focuses on how e-commerce and marketplace work in operation. Learning about the definition of each platform, understanding the ecosystem affected in the operations. Nowadays people use e-commerce and marketplace not only for commerce but also to introduce brands or products and interact with their customers. The ecosystem itself is very wide, starting from the infrastructure, social media, as well as the logistic systems. This course will encourage the students to understand factor-factors impacted by the dynamic of the business ecosystem. This course will also survey the range of frameworks used to explain digital commerce in general.

Learning Goals

This course explores the operations of e-commerce and marketplaces, examining their definitions, ecosystems, and frameworks while highlighting their roles in transactions, brand building, customer engagement, and the dynamic factors influencing digital commerce.

How to provide assistance for learners

Learners will receive support through direct communication with instructors and teaching assistants via email for academic questions. Technical issues will be handled by the ACU-LMS support team. Additionally, regular live sessions and discussion forums will provide opportunities for interaction and problem solving. The course team will also monitor progress and offer help as needed to ensure a smooth learning experience.
